Mousicles was talking about it on the weekend. I'm so desperate to go one year... except that I've made myself promise myself not to go until I have at least one or two shelves spare to cope with the bookcase-full that I'll inevitably buy. my lust for owning delicious books gets a little irrational and greedy sometimes :-)
keep an eye out for any Time Team books for me! it's The Dinghy's third favourite programme behind Pride and Prejudice and Play School (in that order). as with P&P, he's discovered the joys of looking at the book as we watch the programme. lots of pointing and matching!
I had to drive out to Mitchell the other day and saw the sign up at EPIC - I instantly thought of you and couldn't believe it was time again already! :o)
But after that book fair, you MUST go to Albury to see the most wonderful book artists' exhibition! Read about it in my latest post. To drool over (good thing the books are behind glass).
Ooh, Val! Adele and Vim's work is always mouthwatering. There's also a Liz Jenaid book show touring regionally which is definitely worth a look as well.
I second the TimeTeam books from Speedy. And any board books or kids books in general. I'd so love to go, but I seemed to have mistimed my trips south.
Mouse, see the row of trestle-tables covered with books in the distance behind the pink-bottomed lady? There will be at least three of those covered in children's books, and many, many board books.
On Sunday around lunchtime you can buy a green Woolies-bag-full of books for $10. it is WELL worth a trip.
The fairs are usually March and September, so next year there should be an expotition party of For Battlers, combined with a BBQ at either my or Zoe's place.
Yes. We should do this!!! See you in March. But Mindy, if you're reading this. Grab us all a bag of books.
BTW, I have in my head a ForBattle blueberry raid to Murrumbateman in January. Assuming there is a good weekend and the blueberries are there for the picking. I'm sure the various Sprogs will have a hoot sampling, I mean, picking berries.

I'll get Bumblebee onto it... he's got eyes like a hawk!

Still recovering from teh jealousy inspired by last year's Neville Shutes.
Which, did I ever get around to mentioning, I now own?!
Given to me by the purchasee after I expressed my desire for them, in return for a selection of my future printings...

the problem with a Forbattle raid is that we'll all go for the same sort of stuff... nooooo!
