Today, I am chuffed to offer you one of my favoritest news stories presented by one of my favoritest comic artists, Mandy Ord. Glorious!
If you like her work, she's started a blog. And you can find her in various comic shops, usually in compilations. But I hear on the grapevine that she's working on a graphic novel, which makes me very happy.

That was simply lovely (and I think I've heard that story before. Deja vu in black and white!)
Did you know Eddie Campbell has a blog too? Found it because he said some very funny things about the Melbourne Writers' Festival.

I like the story and a lot of the artwork, but that one-eyed skewed face thing she's got going on is kinda creepy, especially with the ear so obviously close that it's like there can't be an eye under all that hair. Which can't be the answer because she draws the same thing from both sides of the girl's face. I find it...disturbing. o_O!
PS...loving the Kevin Rudd pic. Any chance of emailing that to the man himself. I constantly want to tell him exactly that.
Chosha, it has been said to him (if you click my version of the image it will take you to the post that inspired its creation -- she'd moved it, so my link was broken, but I've fixed it now) but a sending of it wouldn't hurt, and I'm sure Ms Fits would be chuffed if you tried.
Mandy's 'one-eye' look is her trademark self-portrait, and nearly every cartoon has it. I think of it as half shyness and half single-minded piercingly clear cyclops-type glare...
I'm sorry to get off track but seeing Diana Wynne Jones in your library has made me feel as bouncy as an egg in a rapidly bubbling pot.

Fabulous my dear, simply fucking fabulous.
