Note to self

Oh, oh oh!

Fabulous thing to do: questionaut. Must show it to Bumblebee this evening...

Postscript: now that I've had a quiet moment (catching my breath after class) and looked at this properly, I HIGHLY recommend you go in and have a play. It takes about 20 minutes (as an adult, anyway), it's a lovely quiz on all sorts of subjects that needs attention and intelligence and it has gorgeous animation. I'm looking forward to sitting beside B while he tries to work out what's going on; I think he'll be fine with the little playful intro bits for each section but I'll have to help him with the quiz questions. I was a bit slow with the maths and science questions, but the language questions are ace.

Go on-- have a go, it's very beautiful.

Post-postscript: Din put me on to more by this design[er? team?]: Samarost. These things are the most magnificent and seductive brain teasers.

(thanks to Ample Sanity for this)

It is lovely. I've got stuck at level 3 though. Can't figure out how to get to the question bit...

Now you must look at Samorost 1 & 2 on the game designers web page, oh such lovely ways to lose an evening. Thanks for posting this one - shall be forwarding it one to my niece.

That third one took me ages! It's a lovely series of events involving a number of the animals. Here's a hint: it starts with the cat.

Thanks, din! I'll do that.

Bumblebee got halfway last night before bedtime (with a bit of my help, in questions only) and is RARING to finish it tonight. I've never seen him so keen about questions!

Hmm. I was going to make a comment to the effect that the cat isn't clickable, but perhaps I have the wrong end of the stick...

ah, you have to click its tail... kitties don't like you to play with their tails... and maybe you have to make the little bird poke its head out first, not sure...
