Disapproving Ducky

I'm feeling so sour about Australian budgetary matters and politics at the moment that I used AP's wacky webcam (I don't think she even knows it's on her new computer) to join the Disapproving Rabbits club. Horrendous, but then I'm not much chop without the distortion, so what does it matter? Desperate times need desperate humour.

Disapproving Ducky
I disapprove. And I will keep disapproving, I suspect, until after the elections.

There's something oddly post-book-press about that....

That is quite astonishingly awesome. I too disapprove, disapprove mightily.

PS thanks for the reminder to revisit the Disapproving Rabbits site - it certainly has expanded. I reckon you should send them this.

Now that I've picked myself back up from off the floor - you're much better looking than that, AD.
It takes such a lot of energy to maintain rage, though. I am impressed to see there are plenty of sceptical letters in the Oz today though (where I didn't really expect to find them).

Do all the other statues on Easter Island disapprove too?

And as for "not much chop", I say Pshaw!

Brilliant. The squareness of jaw is perfectly balancema1tced by the breadth of the specs.

Tanks, dudes.

I have almost resolved to stop listening to the news at the moment, but it's really boring folding book pages to music; you need something to listen to. But every afternoon recently anyone walking past the Book Stud hears me hissing and spitting things like 'UNAUSTRALIAN, MY ARSE'* or 'BAH! F*CK YOU AND EVERYONE WHO LOOKS LIKE YOU' and it's [a] not very elegant and [b] likely I'll make some mistakes in the work I'm doing. So I think tomorrow I'll bring in an audio book. Much better for the blood pressure.

*(yes, Australian kids should be given the right to pay $20,000 for a degree if they're stupid enough to need to. But they should also be given the right to not pay fees as well.)

I highly recommend the Terry Pratchett audio books, or any of the Murray Whelan series.

Oh my dear duck, you look like Costello crossed with Howard with a smidge of Downer. How could you? What if the wind had changed?

Well, I wish the (political) winds would change...
