Nah, as I mentioned in the comments of the last post, the Brits and the Yanks get a completely different cover, so it's absolutely nothing to do with me! But I'm chuffed for Michelle. I noticed the other day somewhere that AS Byatt has joined the queue to sing her praises.

Byatt wanted to review it for the Guardian but Ursula K LeGuin got in first, so Byatt reviewed it for the Financial Times or something instead, and her review begins 'This is the best novel I have read for a long time.'

And now this -- how fabulous for Michelle. And how infuriating, all over again, that they didn't even see fit to shortlist her for the Miles Franklin.
