Roaming the interwebs whilst eating a container of BB's sensational leftover Sri Lankan curries (did I tell you he's doing a 4-week Sri Lankan cooking course?) for lunch, I came across this. If you like comics about literary figures, check it out.
I'll be back later today, with any luck, to remember to breathe.
Right now, I have to clean off my keybort. It's covered in bits of curry and printing ink...

VICTORIAN GIRLS GONE WILD!!!!
Oh, that's very cool.
The conjunction of comics and Sri Lanka, however, takes me back to my childhood in places foreign, where Indian comics - particularly the ACK titles - about Hindu gods and heroes were popular (and fortunately in English). A bit like Bollywood, it's a massive cultural industry we never hear about in the West. They were excellent stories, from the time when the word "avatar" wasn't associated with poncy video games and Interweb faffery,

Extremely cool, I'm glad you agree.
WOW, though -- we have a stack of those comics at home that Best Beloved collected while he was roaming India for a couple of years (researching a PhD on New Age appropriation of Indian gurus that he sadly never finished), and they are my favorite dunny reading. What great comics! I learn so much about the Wacky World of India from them...
A 4-week course Sri Lankan cooking course?? Does that include rotis? Lucky you!
Check out my very first lino prints on my blog. I'm hooked!
You clean your keybort?
Heh, not often, PC. Just when I've spilt curry on it. My work keybort* has certain keys covered in printing ink, and my home keybort is conveniently black anyway, which hides all the black cat hairs.
*anyone who missed the origin of keybort the first time can find it here
