Salutations

Lady Duck

Happy Birthday to a fabulous mother, someone who has travelled to Hell and back and lived to tell the tale, and still remains a beautiful individual, inside and out.

(And yes, that lump of baby is me, her 21st birthday present! Well, close enough. My birthday's in a few days.)

  1. OOh lovely photo. I like the print on her dress. Weren't our mothers young? (well, mine was 25 when I was born, so not so young as yours, but still much younger than me!)

  7. Both very pretty, and clearly a great present to each other. Best wishes for lovely birthdays all round.

  8. Gorgeous pic. Look at her beautiful arms. And I love the authenticity of the ragged, much-thumbed frame.

Many happies to Duck and Mother Duck.

I knew your brother, Jamie, and wanted to visit his grave last year in Canberra in August. I think about him a lot and wonder about him as we had our 20 year reunions last year. I see a lot of him in your Mother's photo.

  11. Oh, please don't be anonymous! I wrote a post about Jamie last August, which hopefully you will read, if you're working through the blog. I'd love to know who you are. Email me off-line: ampersandduck[at]gmail.com

    Please!
