She used to sell it to us amateur cake decorators for $5 per 500g and then she went out of business so I found a guy in Fyshwick (ha ha, I know what you're thinking) who sells it. But he only sells it in 15kg boxes. I bought it about four years ago and I'm not even half way through it. So, if you want some - and at this point I'm willing to give it away - send me an email. But it makes FANTASTIC frosting for cupcakes. 250g so-lite, 550g icing sugar, couple of tblsp of water, mix for five minutes.

If I can find a 3lb jar of it at Woolies I'll definitely get rid of the box in my laundry.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8632542.post-10388627044171222422008-05-28T13:47:00.000+10:002008-05-28T13:47:00.000+10:00The Americans in Alice Springs cooked with Crisco....The Americans in Alice Springs cooked with Crisco. The only place in town they could buy it was the Sex Shop. Most difficult for the largely Mormon or otherwise quite religious poopulation. They used to get a whole heap of orders together and go in groups.Mindyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10634135486127575735noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8632542.post-62199159024453425132008-05-28T13:12:00.000+10:002008-05-28T13:12:00.000+10:00I haven't had a full lungful of Kero in ages.So th...I haven't had a full lungful of Kero in ages.

So that makes this a 'remember to breathe' post!

I wish I'd known this about Crisco on Saturday, I could have passed on the handy hint to the person I saw putting a giant can of it into her supermarket trolley.lucy tartanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09244574932248425378noreply@blogger.com
